How Yoga Found Me

I’ll forever be grateful to the GP who suggested I try yoga to strengthen my back after an injury when I was 30.

 

I didn’t train to teach - just to deepen my practice. But when I heard that yoga could help me become “solid on the inside, soft on the outside,” I knew it was a full-body yes.

It didn’t disappoint.

 

For me, yoga is an open invitation to come as you are and meet yourself there. It’s not about chasing a perfect pose — it’s about reconnecting to what your body and heart need.

 

That’s the space I aim to hold for you.

A practice that meets you where you are

These sessions are open to all women — no matter your shape, stage, or story. They may resonate especially if you are:

Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out

 Spending a lot of time giving to others and want to reclaim space for yourself

Navigating life without children and want a rhythm that honours you

 Wanting a calm, welcoming approach to yoga (no jargon, no judgment)

Gentle flows designed to ground, calm and move with intention. 'Restore your calmness' classes are held each Friday at 9.30am at The Roade House , a quiet welcoming space with everything you need to feel at ease.
